A date was set for 2011 Oscars
American Film Academy has confirmed the date of the 83rd edition of Premilor Oscar Gala.
This will take place on February 27, one week earlier than this year's event, which was lagged to avoid overlap with the Olympic Games in Vancouver, organizers announced.
Nominations for next year the Oscars will be announced on January 25, and the betting exchange will close on February 22.
The event will be hosted once again by the Kodak Theater in Hollywood and will be broadcast live on U.S. network ABC.
Grand prize winner this year was the war drama "The Hurt Locker," directed by Kathryn Bigelow. Kathryn became the first woman was awarded the prize for "Best Director".
The last five editions of Oscar took place last Sunday in February.

The film directed by Kathryn Bigelow won at the 82nd Academy Awards, six of the most important distinctions, including the most important of them, "Best Film".
